Pantone Colour of the Year 2018
Updated: Apr 10, 2019
Pantone have realised their colour of the year for 2018 and it is fair to say it has raised a few eyebrows. The wedding industry especially use this announcement as a guide for what colour themes they might see through the follow year. For example this year the colour was Pantone 15-0343 Greenery which sparked the rise foliage heavy weddings. But with Ultra Violet it is hard to imagine t being incorporated into wedding decoration. Many wedding industry members may be worried about the 'cadbury purple' coming back but below I have shown you how Ultra Violet can be incorporated into wedding decor without taking over the whole theme!

With this colour the easiest way to incorporate it into your theme would be to accent it in floral and decor displays. As shown here having bright Ultra Violet flowers in your centrepieces, round your table plan or in your bouquet can look stunning for a spring/summer wedding. Other ways to add purple could be in your stationary like these menu cars and stunning stone place names (just love them!)
If you want to be a bit daring why not add some purple to your makeup or even have your groom in a purple suit. The idea sounds scary but i think it looks rather great and is so classy! Although perhaps one of my favourites on this moodboard is having Ultra Violet in your table decor, the purple linen and tinted glassware work perfectly with the gold accents and succulent runner.
Do you think the Pantone Colour of the year will be part of your big day??
