WEDDING & PARTY PLANNER
One Oake: (one - oak)
Meaning: (One Of - A - Kind - Events)
One Oake isn't your typical wedding planning company name so why did I choose it and how did I come up with it? Well I wanted my business name to be unique and wanted it to encapsulate my business in a short and snappy name. I knew I wanted to make all of the events I plan to be personal and unique to the clients ...you could say one of a kind! So after some brainstorming of different names I went with my favourite and One Oake was born. I also added a bit of personality into the name so my initials are hidden in there too! (Not in the right order but they are there!) ONE OAKE
Hi, I’m Aimée,
I have loved weddings and parties for as long as I can remember, ever since I was a little girl, I have watched my mum plan events and host parties; you could say that event planning is in my blood!
My first real job in the industry was interning with a celebrity planner and I had the time of my life! Kind of like Anne Hathaway's character in The Devil Wears Prada, I found myself racing across London picking up champagne from Claridges, accessories for the bridal party, suits for the staff and of course working on the most amazing weddings! I loved the buzz and I left hungry for more! I then went on to work as a wedding and private events coordinator at two leading venues as well as working with event stylists and caterers. Fast forward 8 years, I took the leap and launched One Oake and never looked back!
Being a wedding planner is such a rewarding job, I love the feeling of seeing a couple at the end of their wedding day and saying 'we did it!' Being able to see their vision come to life, the meetings, calls, emails, all coming together to create the day of their dreams. Being able to give my clients that WOW factor as they see their wedding for the first time, be it walking down the aisle or walking into the reception gives me the biggest smile on my face knowing that I have helped them create their perfect day. I work with couples for months or even years in advance and I pride myself on building a great relationship with my clients, so much that most of my past clients are now good friends.
Playing a part in a couples planning journey is a responsibility that I do not take lightly. It is incredibly important for me to make sure that you have the day of your dreams, that you have the best of the best suppliers working for you, and ultimately, that your event exceeds all of your expectations.
If you feel the stresses of planning your wedding or party outweighs your everyday commitments, I can ease your burden. I offer a calm, supportive and personal approach to planning, and as your planner, your wedding is as important to me as it is to you.
Some of my favourite things...
1. I am stationery obsessed and own way too many notebooks and bits of stationery I probably dont need but are too pretty to leave in the shop!
2. I LOVE to travel!!
I'm lucky enough to have travelled really well and love going to new places and having new experiences. This photo was taken by me on a microlight flight (basically a flying go kart!) over the south coast of South Africa, I saw turtles and sharks from above.....crazy!!
3. I love a good cocktail and my go to would be either a Margarita or Aperol Spritz! I am also rather proud of my gin collection at home with my favourite being Chase Pink Grapefruit and Pomelo gin...amazing!
